Asset Tags

Process Objective#

Asset Tags enable admin to update asset tag settings.

Overview#

Asset Tags are the unique identifier of an asset within the ProTag system. No two assets can have the same asset tag. Admin can manage auto-incrementing asset IDs which makes it easy to create new assets and prevent asset tag matching.

Features and Functionality#

Here is the Update Asset Tag Settings interface:



  1. Checking the checkbox will pre-populate the Create Asset form with the next logical asset tag.
  2. Enter next auto-increment.
  3. Enter prefix (optional).
  4. Enter length of asset tags, including zerofill. This setting will standardize the length of the asset tag, for example, asset tag 34 will become 00000034 if you had 8 set here.
  • Click Save button to finish your record.
  • Click Cancel button to cancel your record.
  • Click Back button to go back to the previous page.
